About

Over 5000 movies are produced worldwide each year. The average person sees 10-12 a year. I watch more than the average person, so I’m frequently asked, “give me the name of a great movie.” Well, here you go.
This site is for film fans searching for something a little different. You won’t find any blockbusters, franchises or Hollywood classics. No Spiderman, Harry Potter or Wizard of Oz. What you will find is the forgotten, seldom discussed, and alternative films that I happen to like. A lot of great movies go unnoticed. I hope to introduce some of these titles to a whole new audience.
I plan to post 3-5 movies per week, maybe more. Some of these you’ve probably heard of, some I guarantee you haven’t. I’m not going to review them as much as discuss why I think people should check ‘em out. I don’t trash films. You want that, go to Entertainment Weekly or Variety. This blog is a celebration of cinema greatness not a condemnation of Hollywood. If you agree or disagree with my choices, leave me a comment. Or if you have a movie of your own you’d like to suggest, let me know. Here’s to a good night at the movies.
